Honeywort

Honeywort. Cerinthe Major Purpurascens.
A fabulous old-fashioned annual that is a delight to grow and suitable for any cottage garden setting.
The grey green foliage is an excellent contrast in the border & the flowers are a fascinating hue of inky purple. A self-supporting plant that also happily & gently self-sows each year.
The bees adore it.
The seeds are very large & three cornered so easy to handle & sow...just where you'd like the honeywort to grow.
Honeywort will flower all through spring and is fine in full sun or part shade and doesn't mind being dry.
The flowers are great in the cutting garden and provide a wonderful contrast in a vase or bouquet.
